best laid plans
|
Recorded at the locally famous recording studio Saturation Acres
and produced by two members of The Badlees, this four-song EP is yet another
example of the classic Saturation sound, which is poppy, well-produced alt-pop.
In other words, it sounds like Gin Blossoms.
The most important thing about Best Laid Plans is Scott Eubanks’ smooth vocals,
which are most notably apparent on the record’s second cut, Just In The Way. At times the band can be bluesy, and at times
the band can be pure country pop. There’s a versatile side to Best Laid Plans
that would be clearer on a full-length, but this EP is a strong stepping-stone,
artistically, for the band.
